Karma and the art of Laptop repair

Scary thought #137 - The NES came out over two decades ago. Those kids are all grown-ups now. It turns out their problem solving skills are still good in the modern day, much like Einstein's theory of relativity.

Grub died today when I rebooted my laptop, and after several reboots all that appeared was an annoying blinking cursor taunting me in the upper left-hand corner. Thinking I somehow inadvertantly 'bricked' my laptop I decided to try calm myself down and lighten the mood in the room by popping out the battery and blowing into the 9-cell battery. In a room full of astonished comp sci gnerds uproar ensued when grub got to the boot screen and the laptop actually booted up past grub into win xp.

This situation lead to some very plausible conversation topics, what if all of life's problems could be solved by just blowing. I mean every once in a while when a man pisses his wife off, perhaps he should blow gently on her neck, but only if he spits on it first. That way the breeze will be more appreciated as it will be slightly cooler than room temperature. Either that or his wife won't be the only one getting blowed again.

Please note. blowing does not solve every problem. Don't blow on your Maths test in desperate hope for a correct answer, and whatever you do. don't do this:
